I don’t have much experience on 350's so please forgive my ignorance.
I took off the Air filter on my new truck (66 with a 350) I noticed the tube that goes from the valve cover (passenger side) to stock air cleaner is not hooked up to anything.
The motor came with a K&N air filter and doesn't have the hole punched out for the tube to connect to. It is stamped but not removed.
The valve cover has an OIL fill cap and then another hole for the hose close to the firewall.
My questions are; What is this tube called? And Should I put a breather cap on it or should I hook it up to the Air filter.
I would rather use one of those filters. :confused: | | |

With the tube connected to the filter no outside unfiltered air can be drawn into the engine, also no fumes coming from the engine that the P.C.V. does not capture can vent into the atmosphere, but rather they are drawn back into the engine to be burned again, hope that helps. | | |
