I didn't think to look when I was there. Does anyone know what all was available? | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 . | | . Thought I had a picture of the tag in the glove box, but can't find it right now... Here's one of the transmission. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2071861450080251109GtWGtII assume there were other options, but seems like the Spicer was common. It was a synchronized transmission with positive lubrication to the main shaft to keep it lubricated during long periods of time in a straight through gear. Spicer 5 speeds would not hold up to the high rpm and torque of the V12. You must keep in mind they went up to 275 HP @ 2400 RPM It could have had a Spicer auxiliary behind it or a 2 speed Eaton axle. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2009 Posts: 52 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2009 Posts: 52 | Grigg, after reading your V-12 saga I think I will pass on the V-12 dream. If anyone else would like to pursue the engine or truck pm me and I will reveal its location. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 67 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 67 | peytonmaterne - would sure love to see pics of the truck it was in as well as the engine and tranny, if you're ever back that way !
