For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 207 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 207 | I've got a rochester 7025382 that I'm trying to identify. I find that it is a 1965 single barrel, California monojet, but 82 gets a little goofy. One website said the 8 may be from a mercruiser and I have no idea what the 2 stands for. My short question is...Is this a B carb? I want to get a rebuild kit, so what kit should I buy?
Thanks guys!

I found that all the single barrel carbs in the 50's and 60's use the same Rochester rebuild kit. Atleast that's what I found out while trying to find the rebuild kit for my Carb. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | The Mono-jet didn't come out till 68. You can get a kit for a model B by application but a mono-jet you will need that number. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Wrench I was just going by the numbers stamped and what I could find on the internet. I read that the mono-jet didn't come out until '68 but the number indicated a california mono-jet. A couple of the sites said that Rochester didn't always follow their rules though. I'll get a B and see how that works.

The model B is fat with 4 screws on top holding the air horn down. The MJ is thin with about 6 screws. If you have a MJ you should rebuild it & use it. It is a good carb. I posted pics from when I started to where I'm at right now, the carb is in 3 of the pictures. http://s1094.photobucket.com/albums/i442/nesto426/1965%20Chevy%20C1/
