You might want to start by giving people a clue what year truck it is your talking about.

The year of your truck is?????? If it's '55 or older the engine number was most likely used on the title.

the way Doug was yelling, obviously too panicked to say wink I believe it's a 58, which should have the vin stamped on the top of the driver side frame rail near the steering box - it will be missing the first 2 digits that identify the model [3A for a short 1/2T]

thank you all.... sorry i hadn't specified just panicked...was upset...just got back from motor vehicle... wind up googleing it and found it... numbers matched thank you again(was on frame)
