Hello all.
I'm pretty excited about my old '36 project. Last Saturday I decided to change the oil, clean the plugs and points, and try to bring the old engine to life again. There's no telling how long it's been since it ran, although I was told "maybe 10 -15 years ago". So anyway, after disconnecting the fuel lines and tinkering around with the thing...it fired right up! I was amazed! It ran good and sounded tight with no knocks. We only ran it a few times, letting it drain the carb before pouring more gas in...but it sounded great! I do have a bad switch relay on the firewall, but other than that...not bad. I will need to rebuild my carb next, then get a relay. Anyway, it was really great to hear that engine run. One small step closer to the goal! Have a great weekend all!
