My father bought this truck in 1957 to carry his new Boy Scout troop members camping.. He used it till 1977, then parked it in a barn. 2 of his former scouts did a bunch of work to it, but then it was parked again for the last 5 yrs. He mentioned to me he may sell it to clean out his garage, but I considered it a family heirloom, so it's in my garage now. It has the 216 in it. I believe the bed is a M211 troop carrier from WWII.

that bed looks like it came from a WWII chevy G506 1 1/2 4X4 it seems to small to have come from a GMC deuce and a half. and the M211/M135 was korean era, at one time my grampa had about five of them. oh and welcome to the bolt. wave

Thanks for the welcome and info garandboy.. I was told the bed was from WWII, so from a G506 may be it.
