The owner is convinced it is a Chevy, but I am not sure why. The degree of slope from the windshield forward looks fairly steep and I am wondering what kind of front clip might work. This one would make a nice restoration or a great Resto rod, be sure to document all of the historical identifications of this one.
My guess is that it is either a 1924 or 1925 Chevrolet. It has the narrower cowl and the fenders are less substantial than the 1926/27 Chevrolet trucks. The steering column bracket is just a little different from the later years because of the accelerator/spark is still on the column making the bracket just a little bit longer. The gauges are very similar to the 1926. Too bad it doesn't have the engine, there was a definite difference in the years and the engine will have the bowtie on it.
But I am purely speculating on the year. This one is just too early for me to identify. | | |
