what about the grill? sounds like it's a GMC grill - the number on it is the series [short half ton], not the model, the "4" indicates pickup, there's also a 9311, and 9315 the same grill would have been used on - as Dave says, you have a GMC someone added Chev fender emblems to sometime in the past 50 years - also, the Pontiac engine was the one used in Canuck GMC's, don't lose those valve covers, they're hens teeth

Canadian Pontiac cars were also Chevrolet powered, so someone may have swapped in a "Canadian Pontiac" [Chevrolet] V8 at some point. I have a Chevrolet 283 in my shop that has valve covers on it which say Pontiac. Somewhere along the line someone has put Chevrolet fender spears on your truck, if they haven't swapped the entire fender. It can be a bit confusing the differences between Canadian and American models, I hope this explains some of what may have happened. | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 8 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 8 | tanks guy thats what i thaug about the fenders so is that the write grill and series is it | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,061 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,061 | Hy beausejour, if your grill has a 9310 identification in it, then it is a GMC grill, hope that helps | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 864 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 864 | look at my pic, or at any '58-'59 pics in the Gallery for a GMC vs Chevy grille.... | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 8 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 8 | ok so i notice to that behind the park light theres hole in the grill but not in my truck to bolt it down | | | | Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 6 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 6 | 9315 model means panel cause i have the napco panel complete from end to end
