The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop Grill area paint color

Is the sheet metal behind the grill around the radiator typically body color or does a dark or black color work better? I know it is a personal choice but I just wanted to know what the masses do.

If your refering to the upper and lower baffle and the inner skirts thay were semi-gloss black from the factory.

Are the inner skirts you refer to the front sides of the inner fenders? Thanks

The inner skirt makes a 90° bend where it bolts into the core support, it's all one piece. There are only 6 pieces of sheet metal in the front, excludeing the hood. the two fenders, the two inner skirts, the upper baffle, the lower baffle and the gravel pan. The Fenders and the gravel pan are the only parts that were painted body color, the rest were semi-gloss black as was the core support, the frame and the bolt-on items of the engine.
Licence plate bracket was semi-gloss black as were the bumper braces.
