Truck came from factory Green and will stay Green. I,m thing about using a satan black on frame and engine compartment minus firewall. is there a better choice ?

I used Rustolium Satin Black for some things like inner fenders and it looks real good. I also used Rustolium Gloss Black for the frame but if I had it to do over, I'd use a 2K Urethane. It's thicker and harder... I've used it for my running boards, pedal rods and some other odds and it looks super.
Not sure if you can get satin black (AKA Underhood Black) in 2K but I'd look into it if I were you. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 20 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 20 | Thanks for the imput. I keep thing about going with a gloss black, but I,d send what little time I don't have trying to keep it nice and shiney. and that the only reason for using satan black. I,ll try to find a two part for the hardness.

But,they have it in aerosol cans too. They also have newer, better choices now too. It's more expensive than your local hardware store, but it relly covered well and has held up very well. It also touches up easily when needed.
