Hey all
Looking for recommendations on gaskets. Got a new SM420 - well, it's ancient, but it's new to me - and I'd like to replace all the gaskets while it's out. Is there a recommended material and/or manufacturer?
Many thanks,
Nick

Nick,
When installing the paper gaskets, coat them with a little bit of Hylomar or Ultra Black. Install and let them set overnight before adding the tranny oil.

Nick, it's easy to make your own gaskets from rolls of gasket paper from auto parts stores. I've even made them from brown grocery store bags. Metal survaces cleaned with laquer thinner and a little silicone sealer on both gasket surfaces and you're done!
