So i'm pretty sure the bumpers were 'anvil grey' on the outside face of the bumpers, as were the wheel center caps. Was the inside face of the bumpers grey as well?

My guess would be "yes". If not sprayed Anvil Gray on the inside, then primer black with overspray Anvil Gray on the inside.
