As you know, the stock floor is one big piece and the body sits on top of it, so what to do with the ugly original floor?
Cover it up! Got some 1/4 inch oak plywood, actual thickness is more like 3/16ths,perfect height to work with stock steel bed strips.
You need a good table saw, a jig saw, and a belt sander.The center strips are a straight cut, the wheel wells take some work, cut a little big with the jig saw, them sand the last little bit out with the belt sander.
I did the stain and clear finish before I cut the sheet of plywood.This can be done in a weekend once the wood is ready!
