Hey fellas, In addition to a bolt I also have a Pontiac. There's a guy on the Performance Years forum http://forums.performanceyears.com/forums/index.php that works for Griffin Radiator and he has convinced the company to offer radiators to members at a greatly discounted cost if he can get 30 guys/gals to sign up for one. Open to all classic cars/trucks/rods, not just Pontiacs. If you are in the market for one, go to the performance years website, register and look for the topic. Should be easy to find in the Street (as opposed to Strip) section. Nothing in it for me. Just passing this on if anyone is interested. Regards, Don

I'll post a link to the exact location but sometimes such links don't work because you must be logged on. You have to be a registered user. It's free. Get a username and password and when you get to the forums page, you'll see sections each with a red banner on top. Scroll down to the section titled "General Pontiac Tech" in the red banner. The second sub-section down is marked "Pontiac-Street". Click on that and you will see a thread that is titled "Griffin Radiator Group Purchase". Click on that thread and you will join that discussion. Post your response/request the way you would here and the instigator of that thread will respond to you both in the thread and in a pm. Several months ago I started at Griffin Thermal Products in logistics. I've been talking to them about allowing a group purchase most of that time and finally sold them on it. Most of you know that Griffin makes first class aluminum radiators in the USA (Piedmont, SC) - these are hand made by Americans!

The group purchase is based on the following:
- Minimum of 30 radiators sold
- Deadline by November 30, 2010
- Applies to Pontiac cars - but I believe I can get some others approved as well
- Radiators carry a two year warranty
- Customer pays FedEX freight (ranges from $33. to $58.) from SC
- Pricing:2-row 1 inch (cars up to 450 HP): $350.; 2-row 1.25 inch: $450.
- Radiators will be constructed for your application.
- Griffin has also agreed to throw in a new Griffin radiator cap with each
radiator!
- Griffin has agreed to provide similar discounts on polishing service, electric fans and
aluminum electric fan shrouds with a radiator purchase.

All purchases will be done directly through Griffin customer service, typical sales are done via credit card. Anyone that is interested should PM me - I will respond to any questions you might have concerning the group purchase - Griffin's tech guys will answer any of those questions. I'll provide those that want to move ahead with a purchase with the group purchase code for you to reference when placing your order.

Hopefully this will be a successful group buy and we can do this several times a year.

Last check we are about 1/2 way there with 15 commitments. All cars welcome so if you have a 1960 Funnybaker, you too may want to join...tell a friend.

In my case I'd want a replacement for my 48 2 ton (even thicker core than a pickup), but with larger inlet and outlet hoses and the lower hose location moved about 3/4".
Would that still qualify, or I expect it will be a "special build"?

Either way, I'm not ready to spend money on a radiator right now. I'll look into it again in a year or two when I'm ready and with money in hand.

Yes I think they would call that a special build and would not qualify. I guess you would only build that one yourself if it had three cores, seven outlets and a dual filler:> I have seen some amazing things coming out of the Grigg bag o tricks!

We're at 63% with 19 radiators. Tell your buddies to tell their buddies!

Now to 20...

The number of commitments has stalled at 20. Apparently not all forums have welcomed this post. Many are hosted by commercial interests that don't allow the freedom to offer a variety of products. Good for them. This is the USA where we have an obligation to make as much money as possible:) On the other hand, there is something to be said for keeping this forum open to all players in the interest of the members. Thanks to our hosts for that. We still have till end of November so let us know.
