Frank. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 693 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 693 | 55-56 fenders will fit fine, the difference is in the grille area. you can use them as-is if you are willing to use the 55-56 eggcrate grille. if you must have 57 grille then you need 57 fenders. there is a flat-spot/notch and hole on the 57's to accept the different grille. i know this, because I have the opposite problem as you, as i describe in this thread: https://www.stovebolt.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=687143#Post687143

| | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | I think it'd be possible without actual grafting, just need to drill the earlier fenders for the grill mount bolts and do some creative fudging - look at your 57 fenders, there's only one bolt hole on each fender at the side of the grill opening, those holes and the flat spots won't be on the earlier ones
