Hey y'all,

Will the horn relay off a 57 passenger car work on a 59 truck? I just thought I'd ask before I went wading through the briars and the copper heads to get one to try.

Thanks!

well they're both 12V and the horns should be about the same, if not identical .... might as well try

Don't see why not Layne, all it does is use a small current draw coil to make the contacts for a large current device. As Bill points out, as long as they are both 12v and the current draw is probably the same.

For the record...Yep. Works great. The one I scavenged off a 57 wagon appears identical to my 59 truck and works perfectly.

Glad it worked, if needed in the future a simple 12vdc Bosch type relay would do the same and easy to come by.
