Looks like it comes with everything minus a p/s pulley and some hardward. Has anyone used it and how is it performing? Planning to order it in the next few days so it can be home before I get back from my deployment. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Try to get a later model PS gearbox which adjusts for speed of the bvehicle. Also, if the frame adapter hole lines up with the corner of the box frame, don't just notch the frame as the instructions say without some beefing up of the frame in that area. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 1,552 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 1,552 | With the frame stiffening backing brackets, the frame rail does need to be notched, nor do I recommend doing so. There are many complete kits available. The key is finding the correct power steering pump mounting bracket, power steering pump pulley, water pump pulley, crank pulley, to work correctly and provide proper alignment. The short water pump and the long water pump require different mounting brackets & pulleys. Also, the hose fittings on the '80 & up power steering gear boxes & power steering pumps went to metric fittings, so make sure, whichever you use, both are SAE or metric, to ensure the fittings are compatible. I have personally done the conversion on '63-'66 Chevy/GMC 2wd, 4x4, 1/2 ton & 3/4 ton trucks and although there are some subtle differences in the frame configurations, there conversion is very similar. I offer the frame plates, as well as, many of the other parts you need, so let me know if I can help. It comes with p/s pump, gear box, lines, rag joint, pitman arm, p/s pump bracket, and the conversion bracket. I also order the crank pulley, w/p pulley, and p/s pump pulley for a long water pump. I should be set for the A/C system as well with that combination of pulleys. As soon as I get to all of it I will post pics of everything, thanks again for the input.
