I realized I posted this in the wrong forum, so maybe Being in the right forum will help solve this issue

I am new to the truck restoration world and need some advice. I am pulling my 292 L6 and putting a 350 in its place. The truck is a K20 4x4 (of course) with a 4 speed and a Rockwell t-case. It is an interesting truck because it only has 15620 original miles and it is a fire apparatus (brush truck with full fire body on the back). I haven't been able to find another like it. I have searched on the internet for what seems like days and have not found an answer to my question, so alas I tuck my tail and swallow my pride and realized there are people out there that would know these kind of things.
My questions are:
Where in the world do I find motor mounts that will work and what headers do I use?
As far as headers, there are so many to choose from and I hate to order something that will not work.

P.S. the 292 runs great, just looking for a little more get up and go.

Thanks for the input!!

Actually, your existing motor mounts will work- - - -you'll just need to move the passenger's side mount back to align with the driver's side. There's usually a set of holes drilled in the frame for the V-8 mount, as it's in the same place as the one the 250 6-cylinder uses. If not, just measure carefully, and drill and bolt the mount bracket into place.

The only reason to use headers instead of exhaust manifolds would be if you own stock in a company that manufactures spark plug wires. Headers are virtually impossible to keep tight, and the exhaust leaks eat wires in a hurry!

the passenger side mount from a 292 will not work unless you do some fabricating. the 230-250-283 are all interchangeable but the 292 is different

if you look at this site it will show you the difference or explain it

padresag, that page opened my eyes to what I needed. So all I need is a passenger side engine to frame mount. Now, the task of finding one. I have seen a few in the vast space of the internet, and even found some from Eckler's which are new, I was just trying to use what I had without going totally away from original. So I will see what time tells, and always have plan "b" for ordering a set from Eckler's. Thanks for you help guys, glad there are sites like this out there or it seems most of your minds would blow up with the plethora of information you have stored in them. Jeeps, I know a good bit about, but these older trucks, whew, there is a lot to learn! Hotrod, thanks for the info as well. I will consider, but there is something about headers that draws me in like a moth to a candle.
