I have a couple questions about this RPO, for anyone that might have a 3600 series, or for that matter 3800 series truck with the optional 2.5" core radiator and fan shroud.

A) Does anyone have this setup?
B) Do you know if the core support is actually a different part for this thicker core?
The salesman's data book doesn't mention it, but I'd almost think it'd have to have a different core support.

I have a 55.1 3604, and I'd like to see if I can put this setup together for my truck.

Go for it! I'm doing this to my 3800 . I have the big radiator with a shroud I'm putting in my truck. I test fitted it and it slides in perfect with no modifications. I wanted the extra cooling even though I'll probably never use the truck to it's limits.

From that picture, it looks like yours is an OE Harrison unit. Can you tell me what the part number on the top tank is? That'll help me to locate one. Then I just have to find a shroud! Or get a detailed drawing and try to build my own. I'm wondering if there is an HD fan that supposed to go with this setup as well? Stock fan for the smaller trucks is a four blade 18" fan. What are you running on yours. I like that truck, btw. Thanks for the reply.

Any of the Advance Design radiators should work. Mine is dated 50 (1950?). You should be able to locate a fan blade by running an ad in the wanted section. I parted out a '54 2 ton so I'm using the 261 and shroud from that truck. You could probably use the smaller fan but it might affect cooling???? I think I have other radiators and several shrouds if you don't have one or can't find one.

I'm going to be running a 261 as well. Send me an email to [email protected] I'm definitely interested in talking further about this. I have a couple of stock 2" core radiators.

Thanks!
