I bought a 1948 chevy panel 2 years ago from a fellow who has a cottage on my lake.Its still sitting behind his cottage and i have'nt had a chance to go over it to see what is needed to bring it back on the road.It does have cancer on the lower sections,just don't know how extensive.
So,with the 48 in mind i bought a 1996 chev blazer with 4 wheel drive,and my question is,has anybody used this year of vehicle for a chassis swap,if so,how hard is it.This all depends on whether the frame in the 48 is good,then i don't need to swap.Your thoughts please.

S-10 regular cab long beds are what is usually used for this kind of swap and kits are available for that. From my reading that Blazer isn't the preferred choice, although the rear axle is I think.

Full size blazer or S-10 blazer?

The full size is too wide and the S-10 has a frame profile that is hard to work with. Its probably the wrong place to start for a frame swap.
