I saw other day on TV the body shop people was using a green filler material using caulking like gun. Has anyone used it and know where can I find it. I may need that for my bed walls, easy to apply I guess.

Any information is appreciated.

Is this the same caulk used on seams in the cab? i.e. floor and kick panel or between the floor and firewall.

TIA

I saw it being applied all over the panels to sand it down to remove some low spots and pitted stuff. The reason I was asking was, it looked far easier than mixing and applying the material. They apply with caulking gun, spread over the body and sand.

Its a regular filler and expensive. I dont know many shops using this system simply because of the cost issue, plus it sands harder.
Its made by 3M...Eric

The guy who is painting my truck mentioned that stuff just last week. I guess it mixes as it is squeezed out so you don't have to worry about waste or mixing ratios. I'll let you know what he says about the performance once he gets his order.

I suspect it is like other Epoxy type products, requiring a special size gun, and a swirl type mixing tube. Probably cost you more for the setup than the product *g*

I suspect it is more expensive but was looking real easy to use for large body panels. I will wait for jomichael to give me more details

Yes it has a special mixing tip which is a one time use.

Being a body guy I wouldnt use the system, see no point in it. Know of shops that did demo the product, like I said earlier the stuff is pricey and sands harder.
