Did they have the black CHEVROLET letters when they left the factory? The truck is light blue two-tone (white top). Did the tail-gate have the white CHEVROLET letters?

You are correct on both counts, the grill letters were black and the tailgate was white.

Exception: If your body color was white, then your letters were black.

I should have known that, Deb's pickup was originally white. I forgot all about it, even though the tailgate is leaning by the garage, unfinished.
