How do determine what the paint code is for my truck? I have a 1964 K10 'Burb. There is a metal plate on the left kick panel. Under the word "PAINT" is the number 115. What does that tell me?

it tells you to look at a '64 paint chip sheet and see what color the 115 code indicates .... somebody here might have one, or a good paint supplier might have books that go that far back

Thanks. On further inspection I realized that the paint code was actually to the right of the word paint. It was kinda difficult to read the information on the plate in the dark with a flashlight. Beside the word paint is RPO533AC or RPO533AG. With this "new" information, I went online trying to find a sheet with that paint code. No luck thus far. I now know that RPO stands for Regular Production Option. Part of my problem may be that my 'Burb is 2 tone. Above the doors it is some shade of white and below that it is kind of turquoise.

RPO in this case means "option" more than "regular production", the letters will indicate the particular 2 tone pattern of the color numbers, and an original era color sheet will specify that, see here, choose make and year, the 2nd sheet shows the paint #s for 533

if you're looking to touch up, rather than completely repaint, those numbers won't help, you need to take something with a good sample of the color to a paint store that can match it

As a followup to this original post, I have just acquired a 1964 C10. The following information appears on the vehicle plate mounted on the inside of the driver's side door panel. I am struggling to find information to determine what the codes mean. Can anyone help me?

TRIM Z62AA
PAINT 549AD
WB 127

This plate has obvious age, so I hope I have read the codes correctly.

If you go to the website linked above you'll see that your truck was originally a yellow and white two-tone. 82349 and 8290 (ivory). Joe

Z62 is the custom cab. I don't know what the AA means but there were really only two choices, standard and custom.
