I have a 41 1.5 ton chevy truck. The front bumper on my truck had been painted gray along time ago, I want the paint off. Are the bumpers from these trucks chrome or stainless steel? I'm trying to decide if I can use paint stripper or do I have to be more careful because of the chrome underneath.

I believe that stripper would be safe, but a lyewater electrolysis would be safe for either chrome or stainless.
