I have a 55 panel but I know very little about the 4400 model
vin # is 1042 which makes me think it is an early one ?
Do you think the BBC is original ?

I'd like to know it got into an old truck, that seems like an unlikely combination. People usually go the easy route and put in a small block. If it's actually a 366 that would make a little more sense. You might yank out the 396 and sell it for enough to pay for restoring your truck. I'd think they would be really sought after in the U.K.

It has stickers on it from the 22nd Winternationals pit access - so I am guessing it was used to tow a race car & that is why they went for the big block.
I am thinking about maybe sourcing a diesel for it in the future - may be a bit cheaper to run ! But well worth considering - unless I can find a blazer diesel lump for it.
