Anyone know where to find specs for the CM55 series? I have plenty of Spicer service manuals but they are somewhat useless unless you want a picture of something. The only specs found in any of my spicer manuals are end play and torque specs. I need case specs, shaft diameters, bearing journal sizes. Spicer is useless I tried emailing them but all I get is phone numbers to call. Phone numbers are useless when you cannot talk. Any help would sure be appreciated.

Try Jasper engine & transmission exchange, in Jasper, Indiana. They have been rebuilding medium and heavy-duty transmissions and differentials for many years, and they might be willing to share some specifications with you.

I have a fair number of Spicer manuals, not sure if I have one for a CM55 or not, but I don't think I've seen the kind of detailed specifications listed for any of them.
Spicer may still be your best bet, or as Jerry suggested a friendly professional transmission rebuilder.

With something that is still in use, Spicer is your best bet. Download the 79 page manual from the link below.
