Just an update... It's been awhile... The 1934 Master is running great. Turns out the fuel system, charging system, and carburetor were all shot... So after many parts replacement and gas tank resealing, the Ol' Gal is running great. Converted to a 12V system all around... My apologies to the purists out there... I needed something more reliable... Ran the car at night with fantastic visibility... No more dim yellow headlights. The 207 straight six is a strong engine! Thanks to everyone who helped me figure this one out.

Glad to see you got it running. I too am working on a 207 in my truck. The head was cracked. Got to check out anotherone I have.
Hopefully a good one. Enjoy Driving your Master.

I apologize for the late response... I've been traveling like crazy between work and leisure. Converting over to 12V headlight system is relatively easy. But, first make sure the vehicle is converted to a 12V system. I converted the entire car over to 12V from 6V using information from http://www.oldengine.org/unfaq/six12.htm. Once the car was converted, changing out the headlights was easy. I bought a kit from chevsofthe40s.com and followed the instructions. I did have to modify the reflector backs to fit the bulbs. I also got instructions on wiring from the Internet to wire up the lights using relays(http://www.humanspeakers.com/audi/headlight-simple.htm). Using relays helps balance the load to the high output bulbs and may save you from burning things out. Hope this helps.

I see, so you put halogen bulbs in along with the new reflectors. I am thinking of doing this with my 38. It is good to know that they shine through the old lense nicely. Thanks for the information.
