Hi. My headlights on my '36 have what appears to be the running lights on top of the light housings, covered by a plastic dome piece. I am missing a plastic dome...wonder how hard it would be to find one of those? Actually, I wonder if those are the original lights for that truck? I'll add a link for a pic of my light with dome cover. Thanks for any help!

I have some friends with 36 Chevy 1 1/2 ton trucks. and none of them have a light like that on them Nor do my 34 and 35 chevy 1 1/2 ton trucks. Our truck show had a 1/2 ton 1936 and it did not have any on top of the headlight bucket.

I do know that some headlights did before 34. I just don't know where. I know my 39 GMC did have them but, were glass lens with a metal cap to hold the lens.

If you google the diffrent years. and go under pictures. This should help you figure out your puzzle.

good luck and Welcome to stovebolt.com

Thanks for the info guys, I'll check out some photos of '36 headlights and see what I can dig up.
