A local foundry. The manager told me that they make the new one with the old one as sample. Have anybody experience in this matter? I want hear something before to proceed. The originals had a cast drum and a steel mounting disc. They were pressed together somehow. The new ones were all cast so the disc was thicker. | | | | Joined: May 2007 Posts: 112 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: May 2007 Posts: 112 | Thanks Tim, It represent $300 here. I´m still considering the foundry, but they going to ask me the inside diameter like the new one! any idea? thanks Alfonso | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,112 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,112 | Here are the specs for the 1951: Brake Specs I believe your front drums will be 11" and the inside diameter at exact standard will be 11.000". The reason I mentioned above about the new drums I bought being cast is because the mounting disc is thicker and that sets the whole drum to the outside a bit. In my case they compensated for this. | | |
