farmer51 Wrench Fetcher F Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 53 Carthage, IL	I think they may go on the firewall just below the two hinge bolt holes. There may be a gap between the fender and firewall that these fill. It's been awhile since the 47 came apart. Jim

The channeled rubber seals come in this 8-piece fender to firewall gasket set available from most vendors (America Classic photo). Classic Parts has them in this 8-piece set, even though they are not in the picture. Tim 1954Advance-Design.com 1954 3106 Carryall Suburban 1954 3104 5-window pickup w/Hydra-Matic The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" -- this is a splash oiler.
