I changed my ball bearings out for roller bearings,I put the new races in the hub and then the inner bearing and seal ,then the dust cover .Then tried to put it on the spindle, but it does not want to slide on.I did not use a bunch of force to try and get it to go on the spindle .Is something you need a 2x4 and a good hammer to knock on ,or should it go on easy?

You need to dress the spindles down a tad with 400 grit sandpaper.

It's easy to hammer a bearing onto a shaft or into a blind hole. How will you remove it?

I also was stumped for a while with the same problem. A mechanic friend told me to use the 400 grit sandpaper and it worked like a charm.
