Such as how do they fit? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 320 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 320 | I don't know about any steel fenders bieing available for the AD Burbs and Panels. I ended up buying fiberglass and they requried shaping to match the openings. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 23 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 23 | Here at Superior Glass Works we make fiberglass panel fenders for the 41-46 and the 47-54 trucks. These were molded off a pristine set of original steel fenders and we have been selling them for years with many satisfied customers. We haven't had a single return or even a phone call about fitment issues. Like any reproduction, NOS, or original steel part being installed, some adjustment may be needed to achieve a perfect fit. I have seen original steel fenders that differ as much as 3/4" from one to another, so unfortunately we have to work with the quality control standards of that era. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
And to confirm what The Ned said, I am not aware of any steel reproduction fenders being made.

I wish someone did make them. I prefer NOT to have fiber fenders on a original truck. maybe a hot rod. on a stock truck it will devalue a little when you don't have the original spec fenders. but, that is my two cents.
if anyone ever makes a steel fender please post the info. even patch panels for burb/panel trucks 47-53 Poets Seat AutoAppraisals, Parts, ServicePast: General Motor's Master Technician Member: Northeast Chevy/GMC Truck ClubPhone Number: 413.774.5856 Collector of: 1951 Army Chevy Burb barn door,53 GMC COE,two 1934 Chevy Truck,1935 Chevy Army Truck.1950 Gmc Suburban clamshell these are just my chevy/gmc trucks.

I plan to spray inside with line-x or something similar to help strengthen and prevent possible cracks from rocks. I'm looking for 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton front fenders. mine has enlarged opening 1 1/2 ton front fenders from another truck on it. god awful gap. see my pics | | | | | Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 201 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 201 | What can I expect to pay for a pair of fenders? I would find a guy with a burb that you can part out. I know one guy. and he is looking for less than 1500 for a clam shell truck with good fenders on the rear. but, if you parted it out. you still would make good. I am just to far from the guy to make a profit. but, if you find a dealer of vintage parts. you prob. can get good rear fenders for 300.00 I have purchased a set for a customer last year. and sent them threw grayhound for 35.00 each!
