Hi all,
I've just been surfing the net trying to find out what colors were offered in 1936 and can't seem to find anything. I'm just doing research right now, and was curious. My old truck seems to have been painted blue...a long time ago. I understand that GM offers a restoration packet for about $50 that is full of specs, etc.
Wonder if it has the paint info too?? Thanks for any points in the right direction!

I do know black,Green was avail. there may also, have been a shade of red. as there were fire trucks and I have a cab that was red but, it is a 34. I will ask around.

The "Standard" colors and their Code Numbers for 1936 Commercial Trucks were:

193 Swift Red
194 Export Blue
195 Brewster Green Medium

The three colors above all came with Black Wheels.

The following Color Combinations and their Code Numbers were available for 1936 Commercial Vehicles:

262 Omaha Orange
257 Apple Green
231 Black
264 White
234 Cream Medium
301 Hollywood Tan
313 Aluminum
312 Armour Yellow
269 Boatswain Blue
256 Swift Red
314 Export Blue
267 Brewster Green Medium (Buffalo and Norwood only)
307 Airedale Brown Light (Suburban only)
308 Clreassian Brown Dark (Suburban only)

Let me know if you need the pin stripe color to go with any of the above colors.

Wow! Thanks! I am just curious about the colors offered in '36. I'm far, far, from ready to paint yet! Just collecting info right now, and this forum is full of good stuff for a new truck guy! Thanks to all!
