The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area The Electrical Bay Igniton switch adaptor

All parts vendors I've shopped only sell a key start ignition switch for '55-'56 Task Force trucks. I bought one for my '58 and see that truckandcarshop.com sells an ignition pigtail adaptor that is on 3-4 week backorder. I haven't had any luck with technical questions with them in a long time. Anyway, I'd sure like to make one but the catalog picture isn't totally difinitive to me. Have any of you '57-'59 V8 truck owners experienced this? Here is the picture, 1st item on the page. Pigtail

see #P102 here, and you'd also need some correct connectors, like #P15 I think, without looking .... OTOH, if your problem [unclear] is that you have a foot start so different wiring for the switch, all you have to do is put individual crimp connectors on the wires you have for the foor start sw and plug them onto the right place, bottom of this page there's diagrams for both foot [left one] and key [right one] switches
