Can the 241 TC be reversed so that one that is currently a left hand drop (for the front drive shaft) can become a right hand drop by turning it to the other side?

Thanks

Shane
I am guessing this is a NAPCO question. A few folks on this forum are NAPCO familiar but not very many. Try the NAPCO site. They have lots of related info and a very active forum.
If this is not a NAPCO question then maybe you better give us some more details.
Good luck!!

Are you locked into using the 241? You may want to consider some of the other choices available, as there are many (and much stronger) RH drop 'cases available. The NP205 would be one of the more common ones, and was used with virtually any transmission GM used in light trucks, and the few that it wasn't used with can be used with some help from Advanced Adapters.

OK, I don't know anything about a 241 transfer case...
But Shane, what is your application? An old Chevy truck?

Details man, details. wink

I've got a 1963 GMC 1/2 ton 4x4 and my front drive shaft drops to the right or to the passenger side and I got a NV4500 that came with a left hand drop (driver side) 241 transfer case. SO I am wondering if I can just flip the TC over to the other side? If not I need to convert this tranny to a 2wd from a 4wd and not sure how to do that either.

Thanks for anything you have to offer!!!!!
