It has cast aluminum heads with 4 additional bolts per side (21).
My brother tells me these heads were off of military powerplants.
Any one every heard of this and are they good for performance use? I've drag raced for many years and seen lots of aftermarket heads, they all seem to have some markings, these don't have anything on them.

Did you look under the valve covers for markings?

The guy we bought the truck from said these are 'Brookfield' heads. | | |

Longbox55, we used to buy salvage/scrap military parts and indeed had some small block chevy, (even turbocharged) generator engines. I still have a 8-10 quart oil pan for one. | | |
