The reason I'm asking is, I have both of then. The only thing I see is how they sit under the distibutor. I have the steel line off my 216 and the vacuum advance. The vacuum advance off the 235 was pretty shacky so I used the 216 advance. Will it work OK?

The degrees of advance might be slightly different, but it would be necessary to research that information using the distributor part number in a GM specification book. Chances are it won't make a noticeable difference.
