For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2010 Posts: 303 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2010 Posts: 303 | Does anyone know where you could buy the tool to use to remove the screws that are holding the window regulator and window ventilator parts in on the inside of a 55 2nd series door?? These screws are also used on the inside of the bed panels to hold the rear fenders on (bed fenders screws are bigger though) and door strikers. I have checked with Advance and Auto Zone and they don't carry the tool. What do you call these types of screws?? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | They are called clutch head screws/bolts. Search on: +clutch +head You will find many references to where to buy tools, including: NAPA, Snap-On, Harbor Freight, McMaster-Carr, and most reproduction parts vendors. | | | | | Joined: May 2010 Posts: 303 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2010 Posts: 303 | great, thanks for the help, the guy at advance called them "butterfly screws". I will more then likely chage over to a philips head screw when I go to replace them.
