Is pertronix the best upgrade for electronic ignition? is there another option to use a spin on oil filter? do i have to make my own alternator bracket? I love this truck!! 1960 shortbed fleetside with all of the original art deco chrome trim and it even has the jack under the seat. There are a great bunch of Chev. truck enthusiasts on it regularly. Second we need to know if your truck has a 6 or V-8 engine. If it an 8 the best way to go to electronic ign. is to use a complete HEI from a later engine. If it's a 6 the Hei can be adapted but I prefer the Petronics conversion. A spin on oil filter kit is available for the V-8 & works slick but on the 6 I would use the cartridge type. Alt. brackets are available for either one. Sounds like a great truck. Have you posted photo's in the Gallery? They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum | | |
