Suppose I'm not the first to have this experience but new headliner is the most butt-kicking thing I've had to do on this truck. I simply went to an upholstery supply and bought a yard of nice headliner material and glued it right over the old. Easy part. The new rubber trim was a beast! It took me hours and alot of cursing. Invented many new curses in fact. I got it in but probably put some dimples in the roof and gouged the new material in a couple places. I just couldn't see an easy way to do it unless I used some of that u-channel windlass that's on my Pontiac. That's what I'd do if I were to do it again...
