Hi Does anyone have a hollander manual and can tell me if a 1953 1/2 ton truck gearbox will fit a 1938 1 1/2 tuck engine and trans? both have 216 motors.

I can tell you without looking that 47 and earlier have a different bolt pattern than the later ones. I think the clutch housing and all will interchange, but I'm not sure how that will work with your clutch linkage and starter linkage.

You could probably get the prop shaft to connect but i believe that 53 vintage transmissions are about 2" longer then what they used in 38. So how do you shorten a prop shaft?
