I'm not sure where one end hooks to. One end goes in an "arm" coming out of the carburetor... but the other end I'm not sure where it goes. In the Jim Carter catalog they have a vertical spring and a spring holder tab bolted onto the oil pan. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 1,820 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 1,820 | Most of the vertical accelerator rods have a tab welded to them right up where the rod passes the exhaust manifold. The spring attaches there to pull the acceerator back to an idle position. The other end does attach below to a tab in one of the oil pan screws. I've seen factory tabs and various other products. I use a Mr. Gasket right angle chrome piece attached to the oil pan screw and it turns up for the spring to hook into a factory hole in it.
