For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2007 Posts: 222 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2007 Posts: 222 | I am restoring a 49 Model 3100 panel truck. I recently installed a glass bowl in line fuel filter to the carburetor, and since then the carb seems to be fuel starved? The filter is installed with the fuel line coming in the inlet and the outlet has a short nipple going to the carb. The question is, should the glass bowl wind up on the top or bottom when installed? I don't seem to note any air bubbles in the filter when full but there does seem to be a lack of fuel in that the engine starts and then dies shortly there after. Any advice? thank you.
God bless,
Dave
