just put a set of fenton headers on my 59 235 and the throttle rod from the carb to the block doesn't seem to work. Does anyone how to make it work or is their another one that i need to get

Use a piece of clotheshanger wire (it bends easier) to bend a rod that will work. Then use that as the pattern for your accelerator rod.

Just a little bit of re-shaping has always worked for me.
