I just converted to 12 volts on my 235 using an alternator. Everything is hooked up, but now I need a new fan belt. The old one no longer fits. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement one that fits, or what size I would need?

I could have avoided all that trouble if only I had remembered to...

Try this- wrap the blade of a tape measure around the pulleys. this will give you a rough idea of the belt size. You will want to put the alternator at about 1/2 way of the adjustment slot. take that dimension to the flaps, they will be able to get a belt that is close to that dimension. Ask if you can return the belt if it's too loose or too tight, they will usually take it back in exchange if you don't run the engine wth it on. might take a little trial and error to get the exact fit.
