Has anyone used a 1947-1953 frame on a 1954 Chevy 3100 1/2 ton truck? My '54s original frame is pretty rusty and was wondering if the swap was pretty straight forward. My biggest question would be the bed, since the 1947-1953 has shorter sides and required wood blocks.
This conversion can be done, but it might not qualify for 'easily done'. We are asked this fairly often and so we took a couple pictures and wrote a short article about the possibilities.
