i have a three speed transmission on a tree, that i have just installed. i am having difficulties with the gears not shifting to second and third gear. i am only able to shift to first gear and reverse. my question is, how can i adjust the levers on the tranny to have all gears work? or is there any other better solution to make them work? i would really appreciate your help.

I don't know what year truck You have, but the best thing for You to do is type in TOCMP into your search there You'll find The old car manual project ,there is a list of truck manuals pick the one for You're truck and look under transmission they have the right way to set up You're shifter. And it would a good idea to get a manual so You could keep it on You're work bench.

There is a little cap about 1" in diameter on the top of the shift box on the column. Remove the cap and adjust the shifter rods so they align inside the box. Easy to do and works fine.
