I've been troubleshooting a problem with my radio. In the process of trying to fix the problem I noticed that the radio's grounding itself through the antenna cable.

Is this normal or is it an indication that antenna or antenna wire is shorting out against the body?

The case of the radio should be grounded to the dash. This is usually assured by the attachment points including the two bolts on the bottom.
