It was a new all steel model that year, assembled by an outside vendor and sold through GMC dealers. I have seen Chevy versions that had the GMC grille. They ran 15 inch tires that wore out quickly. I hope someone can dig up some old photos or sales information to add to my memories. I copied this from the Welcome Forum in hopes I will reach a wider audience and the right person. Older version of a stepvan. Used for route sales like lance, tastykake, wonder bread etc. I'll have to look and see if that old junkyard is still in ashland va. They had a bunch of them that they stored used parts from other cars in.

I thought they didn't have side doors. I'd always see them riding with both doors open, it's so hot for so long in south Louisiana.

Sometimes the door latch didn't hold and a door would slam shut while braking. I always kept my arms away from the doors. It was very low geared, so top speed was 65 down hill. Many years later it broke a crankshaft. | | |
