Well, we got the truck home last night, dropped her off at my In-Law's ranch so we can drive it around while we are "fixin to" get it going and all....
Confusion on engine and chassis ID. The number stamped on the pad to the rear of the dist and above the starter reads "FO 616A". I checked the engine ID leads here and NOTHING(at least as I can see) matches. Any ideas? Same goes with the engine casting numbers. The casting number on the side of the block below the dist is GM 22 (fairly large) then forward of that 3763 6. Additionally, there is a casting number by the starter of "F 141" and one ahead of the distributor, just above the oil pan flange that reads "37696716". On the Cyl head between 2 & 3 exhaust port it reads "3836848 GM 24"
Can anyone help me with this one?

Could the 37696716 code have been 3769716 (58-62 235)?
3836848 was used on 56 and newer 2335 heads (and on replacement heads after 1956)
F 141 might be the date casting code:
F = Jun
14 = 14th
1 = 1961
